Here, we will keep track of where all of RW's characters work. All preexisting businesses are open to any character working there, holding any position (Examples: the hospital, the Moulin Rouge, etc). If your character is an employee of a preexisting business, please fill out the following:
Filling out this is NOT an application. Instead, it allows you to connect your character with his or her coworkers.
If your character owns a small business, you will need to fill out the following:
This is an application. Since small businesses are categories and require maintenance by the staff, we want to know that you will utilize your small business. Those wanting to establish a small business must meet the following requirements:
To apply for a small business:
1. The member must have a minimum of 25 posts (in or out of character)
2. The character running the business must be 21 years of age or older.
3. Please provide a short description (less than 50 words) describing the business.
4. Include any other playable employees, if applicable. Employees must be 16 years of age or older.
If you meet these requirements, a staff member will set to work on creating your small business.
As with apartments, private businesses are controlled by those who own them.
If you wish to work for a private business or organization, you will have to ask the RPer whose character owns that business.
In the following post, I will list all possible places of employment, both public and private, as well as organizations characters can be a part of.
NOTE: Self-employed characters who work from home (IE: writers, artists, etc), characters who work for a large business that does not have a thread (IE: the French government), need not apply. The RPers in the latter category may request that a public thread be made, if they think such a thread would get widespread use. You are NOT limited by this list! If you have a dream job for your character, but it's not listed, go ahead and write your character as having the occupation of your choosing.
Additionally, characters cannot own public threads. I cannot have any of my characters own Les Deux Magots Cafe, for example. These are actual geographical places and therefore cannot be owned by fictional characters. However, your characters may work there.
