User Name: Blueeyeddevil
Name: Reid Jonathan Collier
AI: Matthew Gray Gubler
Age: 27
Occupation: Psychologist/BAU Profiler
Personality Reid is a certified genius...literally. He has a photographic memory, an IQ of 187, and can read about 20,000 words a minute. However his main focus is on justice. He knows about the criminal end of the law and is determined to put an end to it the best he can.
For all that he has in brains, he is severely lacking people skills...he would feel it was his duty as a Phsychologist to inform you if he felt you had a mental disorder and would flat out just tell you...and in his mind, everyone is a little crazy.
Reid is a generally nice guy when it comes to most things. He can have a bit of a temper at times and can grow slightly moody for no apparent reason. However, he enjoys meeting people and (attempting) to make friends.
History: Reid was obviously gifted from a very young age. By age 7 he was enthralled with advanced poetry such as Byron and was reading and writing well above his level. He went to public school but kept jumping grades...he'd graduated high school by the age of 12. He went on to college, attaining Doctorates and Bachelors in several different areas including a PhD in Psychology.
Over the years he took care of his mother (his father having abandoned them when Reid was very young). He watched as her mental health declined with Schizophrenia...something Reid fears will eventually claim him as well, as it is passed genetically.
He went on the join the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI, feeling that it was the best use of his brilliant mind. He truly enjoyed the chance bring down some of the most dangerous murderers and criminals out there and became very good at his job.
He was recently sent to Paris to do double duty. He would be working to see what was causing an unusual spike in murders around the city as well as being a Psychologist for the Opera House as way to obtain a place to stay. Reid was prepared for Paris and ready to take on this difficult assignment on his own.
