A place where you can divulge secrets about first-drafts of characters, "head canons" you have (god, I hate that term), and backstory you've never had an opportunity to share.
Example:
Santiago's original name was Blaise Szarka and he was pretty much a Romanian/French action hero with no connection to gangs. I scrapped the original version, but on my computer, his profile is still saved under that name. I don't know why I haven't fixed it.
Damien's name was originally spelled "Damian" when he was an NPC. At some point, I typoed and left it alone. I prefer the "en" ending, don't you?
Name meanings-- or their meanings to me-- are incredibly important. I know all the meanings of my characters' names, except in cases where no meaning is assigned.
I pronounce "Maurice" as "Mor-is" instead of "Mo-Rees" because Maurice is from Normandy and the influence of English on the area-- particularly the town he grew up in-- is prevalent. Also, I like it better. And his last name is from Shakespeare's "Richard II". Don't judge me.
At any given time, I have at least one new, partially complete character profile. At present, I have three complete ones and a fourth incomplete one sitting in my laptop. No, you don't get a sneak preview. These characters might not even get used for this.

I'm double posting because I had a realization while I was looking at AI pics and post Alexander for Erica:
If Esperanza had lived, she and Alexander would have been one of those cute (don't tell anyone I said this) hipster couples who get recipes off of Pinterest and let their kids express themselves through fashion and art and all that.
But that didn't happen, so Alexander is just kind of a dude who's a dad.
My brain now has pictures of Rodrigo Santoro and Tiffany Dupont wearing thick-framed, black, rectangular glasses and matching grey sweaters.
I'm going to bed before my teeth rot from the sweetness my brain is churning out.
---
EDIT
Apparently, Carmen and Santiago are inadvertently named for Carmen Sandiego. I had this epiphany today while posting a FB pic of me half-cosplaying as Carmen Sandiego in a thrift shop. My brain does awesome things without my knowing.

My confession is one I've told several people before and that is that Reese is me. I am Reese. There isn't really anyway around it. While I've never done ballet or had an eating disorder, her personality is basically my own. I, like Reese, have tons of energy and have a hard time sitting still. Even in my classes I am constantly jiggling my leg or repositioning myself. Very rarely do I find myself sad or angry...I'm giggly and hyper more often than not. Because of this I find it much easier to write scenes concerning Reese.
Also, some of you may remember this from early TPO days when Xavier first came on the scene. Originally, Xavier had been witness to a murder and placed in witness protection. For some reason I thought it was a brilliant idea, but quickly turned sour. I eventually only used it for giving Xavier a reason to have come to Paris, and it finally just faded out completely. I totally disregard that info as of now and no longer view it as canon.
Also, Xavier was originally French when he first started out. Either I forgot or gave up on that and made him to be cockney English instead.

Confession: I'm RPing my Big 3 (Santiago, Madeleine, and Tristan) on another site right now. I feel like an adulterer. XD But it really is a wonderful community and it's really odd to see them transplanted to a place 40 minutes from my hometown. Tristan is the ONLY ONE who is remotely consistent with his RW self. He's still my socially awkward baby. But Santiago... wow. I've got him as a PI and ex-cop there and it makes me a little sad because it's like getting to see what he could have been without the gang. He could have been a successful law enforcer. (And he could have possibly entered into an emotionally supportive and stable sexual relationship). And Madeleine is just... I broke her a while ago. I kinda hope I can glue her back together sometime. Anyone ever do this or something similar? Write their characters in a new setting or with one MAJOR change just to see how different they would have been?
