Apartment: On Rue Lord Byron is a fancy set of apartments, home to artists, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and any body else who can afford such lavish accommodations. But on the fourth floor of this housing complex lives Olive, the faded opera star who really just tries not to draw attention to herself.
Against the backdrop of the Arc De Triomphe, the traffic roars loudly into Olive's Entry way, which leads into her livingroom. The open floor plan makes for seamless, easy access into her kitchen/dining area.
From there, there is a hallway that leads to a master bedroom with a contiguous bathroom. Next door is a second bedroom that remains locked all times. But if you were to open the door, you would see that it is filled with memorabilia from Olive's opera days: awards, CDs, photographs, boxes of unsent autographs, layer after layer of dust... Across from the second, converted bedroom is the guest bathroom.
It may be lavish and spacious, but with it's single occupant and ability to sleep four, it's a very lonely space. It a house, but not a home.
