Vincent Tourvel
Age: 36
Originated: Paris
Occupation: Therapist & Writer
Contrary to most ladies belief, chivalry is not quite dead. Vincent Tourvel is not deceased yet, so of course it is not. Vincent likes to think of himself as a gentleman. Yet, thinking and actually being are two different things aren't they? Vincent's view of himself is far more different than what the public views of him. Every action, every word, and every opinion is completely justified in the means of what he believes is right. Human interaction never ceases to intrigue him. He finds hobby in observing people and finding out what makes them tick, what pisses them off, and what drives them madly over to their drop off point. Which makes him more of a darker personality as he searches, and at times purposely causes situations to where peope have no choice but to get to that point. It adds fire to his obsessive compulsive disorder; finding himself getting infatuated with people. Which, being in the field of psychology, can be a dangerous thing. Slapstick and funny jokes are pointless. Giggles and chuckles are for babies. Dark humor and intelligent wit is what he truly thrives on. Vincent is a dedicated man and highly determined. When he cannot accomplish something that he seeks out it itches his bones until he finally sees it through. With passion comes fire, and with fire comes temper. Vincent sometimes cannot control his temper tantrums when they occur. It as if his eyes see red suddenly. He often chooses not to apologize for them, as they are true emotions.
Who should apologize for feeling? Feeling is everything.
It all began in Paris. Vincent Tourvel was born into a wealthy family, and to many that is considered lucky. Luck is when someone is born into a family of love and compassion. His parents had none. He was raised in an isolated atmosphere, with parents who cared more for how society saw them than what they saw in themselves. Also, a sister when he was seven years old. She would be Vincent's full blooded sister, and that is an important fact, as his father continues to remarry to this day; the half siblings he is running out of fingers to count with how many he and his sister have. But his father and mother he found quite sad as they enforced their laws of living onto him. Vincent tried to protect his sister best he could from feeding into his parents shallow and materialistic ways. Which made them so close and he so incredibly protective over her.
Vincent's parents clung to the fact that he did not sport two left feet, and could move flawlessly. Thinking it would up their status, they threw them into the world of ballet against Vincent's will. He began young at Bastille, where he met his upcoming best friend and first true love. They were dance partners, and continued onto the Royal Ballet Company. Vincent Tourvel was one of the best and so was his partner. It truly was never what he wanted though. When his mother died and Vincent saw how quickly and without a sign life could just end, is when he decided he needed to live his life the way he wanted.
That was when Vincent made the decision to leave everything behind in order to escape his parents, and this life that did not seem like his. Which meant he had to leave everything he loved behind for awhile. His sister and his ballet partner. It was his first act of selfishness after all the madness his life truly had. So, Vincent left for America, where he attended Harvard to receive a bachelor's degree in psychology.
Now a therapist and a writer of three successful books, Vincent Tourvel has returned to Paris to do his work and make himself back at home.
