We all remember Rachel Day. Well, ladies and gentlemen, she is back! After moving back to New York to pursue her acting career that she had always wanted, she is back in Paris on a more serious matter. It may be more helpful to divide everything up so no one is confuzzled, and give it in 'straight to the point' terms!
Theatrically :
- Chorus member in Wicked, eventually turned Nessa's understudy
- Refused many roles that were offered because she knew it would be because of her mother's name that she was being offered them
- A walk on role for, 'All My Children' the daytime soap opera
- Starred and originated the lead role in Spring Awakening
- Won a Tony Award for Spring Awakening ( Meaning she could die the happiest!)
- Guest starring on television
- Face of billboards, fashion magazines, health and wellness, etc.
- Began teaching acting classes to young teenagers who couldn't afford it.
- At one point, did a 'racy' photo shoot that was all the buzz when she was merely trying to grow up and become more adult and sexual.
- Continued with Spring Awakening
UNTIL ...
[cue the dramatic music!]
Lets start at the beginning, shall we?
Personal Life:
- Lived off of the money from what she received when her mother died and purchased a studio loft in Manhattan
- Was alone with no family and just friends from the theater
- Found a manager
- Was in a relationship with one her co-stars in Spring Awakening who she found cheating on her by the stage door
- Continued to keep Santiago's gun he gave her and learned to handle it better
- Began training at midnight after shows in Shotokan karate for self defense reasons and is nearly at her black belt
- Continued to keep in touch with her friends from Paris but not as often as she would have loved to
- Was on cloud nine and made enough money to support herself
And now for why she has returned ...
Rachel Day's father and his gang was never quite cleared up, but she could not live her life in fear. The best she could do was live her life but be aware. Apparently aware was not all she needed to be.
After a night show, Rachel was returning back to her studio apartment and as she got out of the car she felt something hit hard against her chest. It hurt so much that she began laughing until she fell to the ground and all she could remember were the flashing lights of the paparazzi, her friend that was with her calling out her name, and then she saw all everything get bright white and then black.
Rachel Day is not suppose to be alive. The sniper that shot at Rachel's heart and barely missed was suppose to be sure of it. The doctor's during her emergency surgery that night were sure of it.
Rachel pulled through. When she opened her eyes and was left in the hospital room with a couple visits once in awhile, she realized that she was not safe anywhere. Someone had to be watching her.
Rachel Day needed to get out of New York City, and she could not let anyone know where she was. She needed to go into hiding.
We begin with...
Rachel Day has been in the hospital for awhile now and is about recovered with the help of medicine, and the only recovery left is the recommended therapy. It is turning dark and she is alone, the doctor's say she can go home but must be on bed rest. Bed rest is not safe. Nothing is safe and no one can keep her safe here.
As the doctor's prepare her papers, Rachel rips out the IV's from her arms, grabs her things, and sneaks out of the hospital and snatches up her phone from her purse. Going into her phone she goes to the contact:
Santiago Ortiz.
Rachel Day is fleeing to Paris.
So here comes Rachel Ruth Day! A little different, more mature and independent, a little more guarded, has a serious issue, but she is still the bubbly, youthful, performer- & all the Rachel-isms are still in tact !
