Hello everyone!
As you can probably see, we've upgraded to V5 this month. I'm absolutely loving the new layout! That said, if you did not receive my update email, here is what this upgrade means:
V5 is the fifth version of Proboards and includes all of the latest updates. It is still in Beta Testing, however, most (if not all) glitches have been worked out. All Proboards will be making the switch in December of this year.
V5 is rife with new features. These features include:
Global Log-in: You can link all of your Proboards accounts together under your email address for easy, one-click access.
Live-search: Will bring up results as you type
Avatar Creator: Customizable Proboards avatars available
Integrated Forum Notifications: You will be notified when someone likes, quotes or tags you in a post. Yes, you can "like" people's posts! You can also "friend" other members without linking your Proboards account to Facebook (though you can do that, too, if you so wish!)
Visual Posting Editor: See what your edits will look like in action as you make them!
If you have any questions concerning V5, please ask! Chances are, somebody else is wondering the same thing.
There is also a new forum skin available. You'll see it as the new default before you log in. If you like it, it's called "Paris in Blue". Feel free to use it!
The upgrade means that banners will need to be resized, particularly if there is text cut off. If that is the case for you, PM me and I will do what I can to resize for you.
Lastly, we have revamped the section 'Beyond the Red Windmill' a little and added a section for self-made threads called 'Everywhere Else'. Check out the guidelines!
