Happy April, Rouge Writers!
I hope this newsletter finds you all well and happy. A few quick updates and announcements for the month…
First of all, I’d like to welcome any members who have joined us since our last newsletter. It’s wonderful to have you with us and we hope you enjoy your stay at RW!
Second, I’d like to apologize for the delay in putting April’s “ad-free” up. When you log in, there should no longer be any pesky ads at the top or bottom of your page.
Starting this month, we are looking to advertise for “wanted characters” through both RPG-D and Proboards Support. A poll/questionnaire thread should be up within the week, asking what characters and character types members would like to see. Personal ads can be placed as well, but will take a backseat to “site wide” characters. For example: “I would like to see more Moulin Rouge employees” is a site wide request. “I would like a love interest for my character” is a personal request. If two or more people make a request for a specific character for a plot, it will be treated as a site wide request (since at present, we are a small site. This is subject to change if there is growth).
Another thing we are doing is deleting inactive accounts. At present, we are defining “inactivity” as follows:
- Any member who has had an account for a year or more and has never posted.
- Any member who has posted, but who has not posted or contacted a staff member concerning their activity/inactivity in a year or more.
We don’t require any kind of activity checks otherwise (we’re of the mindset “Post when you can; real life comes first!”), however we are doing a little bit of spring cleaning. If you are unsure about your account, feel free to PM either Marissa or me or AIM either of us at CrayonQueen18 or latherrinseandobey respectively.
