Possible Events
It’s been two months since our last board-wide event. As such, Deanna and I are looking to plan a new event for everyone’s enjoyment. We would love your input! So, I’ve created this poll in hopes that we can pull off an event tailored to your needs!
Here are some of the options:
A City-Wide Gala
We’ve hosted such things for New Year’s Eve, Christmas, and other holidays. For those of you that weren’t here for these, a city-wide gala is simply that: a party hosted by the city of Paris, France that all citizens and tourists are welcome to. There’s drinking, dancing, and all the usual IC drama! We will have a separate category and all new threads for this event.
A Weather/Disaster Based Event: Blackout
For this, I was thinking something along the lines of a thunderstorm-induced power outage. Characters who are participating in this event will start out in seemingly normal scenes with others and at some point during the scene(s), I or Deanna will post in the thread (using either the RPConfessions account or a specially-made Events account) to knock out the power. For this event, please link one of us to the scene you’d like to have subjected to a power outage. Your character(s) can be in their respective situations with friends, enemies, or total strangers.
Prompt Contest
A list of potential prompts -- words, dialogue snippets, and full-scenarios – will be posted. Each prompt will be given a value (5, 10, or 20). The object of this contest would be to reach 100 points first by writing scenes/posts in response to the prompts. You must link to your posts/scenes for verification by a staff member. The first person to 100 points will win our first “Featured Member” contest and will be featured in the sidebar for one month. Neither Deanna nor I can win “Featured Member”, however, we will gladly help anyone who wants to participate in any way we can.
