Welcome to Rouge Writers! We seek to create an artistic haven for aspiring writers and artists through the medium of RPG—roleplaying games. In order to make RW the best site it can be, there are a few ground rules everyone is expected to follow.
General Rules
1. Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, disrespect and bullying will not be tolerated, nor will plagiarism. Mild offenders will be warned, and repeated/serious offenders banned.
2. Please, do not spam. This means no advertisements, no pornography, no one-word replies, and no “net speak”.
3. Follow Role-Playing Guidelines. This means no power-playing, no godmodding, and no scene stealing. If you don’t know what these terms mean… Ask! Someone will be more than happy to help.
4. Discussion should be kept at a PG-13 level or lower. Remember, PG-13 doesn't mean "G". There's so much you can do! If you're unsure if you're crossing a line, ask!
5. This is an account per player site with no character limit. We also do not have a word count.
6. Have fun! That’s the whole point, folks.
Character Rules
1. We are a no-app site. However, we have a mandatory character profile.
2. We are a real-life site. As such, please only create realistic and human characters. No super-powers, no vampires, etc.
3. If there is an issue with your character, a staff member will address it privately with you.
4. You may have as many characters as you believe you can handle. If there is an issue, a staff member will address it privately with you.
5. Members who have not signed on in 6 months will have their characters archived and their face claims removed from the Face Claim List.
Special RP Areas: La Defense and Apartments
Characters may own property in RW -- namely small businesses and apartments. These categories must be applied for by members and approved/created by staff. As with characters, if the RPer is inactive for 6 months, they will lose their small business(es) and/or apartment(s).
To apply for an apartment:
1. The member must have a minimum of 25 posts (in or out of character).
2. The character must be 18 years of age or older.
3. Please provide an "inspiration link" and list any and all roommates your character has (NPCs included!). Also provide an address for this apartment. The address you provide does not have to be real.
4. Please do this here
A staff member should let you know within the week if your apartment has been approved and one of us will set up a category for you.
To apply for a small business:
1. The member must have a minimum of 25 posts (in or out of character)
2. The character running the business must be 21 years of age or older.
3. Please provide a short description (less than 50 words) describing the business.
4. Include any other playable employees, if applicable. Employees must be 16 years of age or older.
