Role Requested: Apprentices/Interns at Vidal Funeral Home
Name: Chelsea Taylor and Mathis Marceaux
Suggested Face Claims: Emily Browning and Avan Jogia
Personality:
Chelsea Taylor
- Is 20 years old.
- Her father and grandfather were “freelance embalmers”. They set up a permanent funeral home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin when Chelsea was eight. The crematorium caught fire and burned down two years later.
- Mother was an Avon saleslady. Chelsea used to purposely mix her father’s makeups with her mother’s to see if anyone would notice.
- Her brothers were allowed to see their father and grandfather ply their trade; only one of them had an affinity for it. Her older brother, Andrew, is a mortician, too, and settled down near Chicago.
- Her parents wanted her to do something more lucrative than what either of them did for a living.
- Applied to mortuary school against her parents’ wishes; got her letter of recommendation from Andrew.
- Attended school at McAllister to be far away from the people she knew. Hoped the big city would sate her wanderlust. It didn’t.
- Heard about the job opportunity from her embalming professor at McAllister (it was being offered to another student)
- Sent in her resume without foreknowledge of France or the French language. Also did not request letters of recommendation or reference from her teachers at McAllister, knowing her brother and his staff would write much more convincing testimonies.
- Dyes and cuts her hair frequently without warning.
Mathis Marceaux
- Just turned 21
- Born and raised in France
- Grew up helping his family run their fairly well established funeral parlor.
- Oldest out of 3 children.
- Went to school to study the funeral business because it had been expected of him since a very young age to someday take over the family business.
- Don't particularly hate the business but doesn't really like it either.
- Would much rather become a mystery novel writer.
- Knows a surprising amount of facts, tips, and tricks of the trade from growing up around it.
- Quiet generally, but can be snarky at times.
- Will do as he's asked without much arguement but will let you know if he thinks there is a better way to do that thing.
History: Largely up to player. However the following must be incorporated somehow – an associate’s degree (or equivalent) or a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in life science, biology, psychology or mortuary science. It would be preferable if the character was a French speaker, native or otherwise.
This character would be working as an intern at Vidal Funeral Home and therefore has potential plots with Tristan Vidal, Solange de Grace, Georgette Duguay, Gwen Fontaine, and Torben Blau.
Character Age/Age Range: 18-21
Your Name: Deanna. Please contact me via PM or via my AIM address latherrinseandobey if you are interested or have any questions. You can also PM Lori (blueeyeddevil).

Basically, anyone responding to this ad needs to have a sense of humor and a little bit of a morbid streak. Any takers?
